Senior Database Engineer Position Now Open

Come join a dynamic and growing team here at Probity.  This Senior Database Engineer/Architect will be responsible for a growing Oracle/Big Data environment.  This position will work with the existing DBA team to manage, maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot Oracle 11g, Postgres, My SQL database environments.  This position will assist with the implementation of new system software, and provide input for developing local operating procedures and policies as needed or requested.  The Engineer will need to be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the databases and providing utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed.  On-call rotation required.

Application Tester Wanted - $5,000 Signing Bonus

Probity LLC is looking for a qualified Lead Application Tester in the Northern Virginia Area. We're also offering a $5,000 referral/signing bonus for a qualified candidate.

The Project revolves around the sponsor's logistical operations for creating, deploying and tracking of assets. Incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining the testing of all code changes involving legacy and future logistical applications. Incumbent will maintain a formal testing process across the full life cycle of the systems to ensure that best practices in testing are followed. Develop and execute test plans. Analyze and review system requirements defined in the System Requirements Document (SRD) and the System Requirements Specifications (SRS) to ensure testability and identify discrepancies or errors in the functions, interface, data structure, performance and termination of the system. Use the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) to map requirements to the verification methods that will be sued to ensure system compliance with the requirements and that each requirement has a verification test associated with it. Develop test cases and write test procedures and scenarios to test the system against the defined requirements in accordance with the established test plan(s) for process, function, system integration, and acceptance testing. Document, review, and verify Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and Requests for Change (RFCs) discovered during formal and informal testing phases. Perform regression testing to ensure that all other test-related documentation is updated. Participate in control gates such as System Requirement Reviews (SRRs) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs). Provide input for the test schedule to ensure that adequate time is allocated for testing. Collaborate with the requirements team, development team, configuration manager (CM), project managers (PM), and the customer during pre-testing, testing and post-testing phases. Participate in technical exchange meetings (TEMs) to determine test strategies, de-conflict schedules and coordinate test activities. Effectively communicate test results to audiences of different levels of technical experience.

Senior System Engineer Wanted

Join the Probity LLC Team! We're looking for a top-notch candidate for the position of Senior System Engineer. Performs responsible professional and administrative work supporting several storage networks and may also assist other storage managers with occasional exposure and support to several enclaves. Support current infrastructure consisting of three physically separate SANS of like equipment from the vendors EMC and Cisco. Evaluate current infrastructure for refresh to meet future requirements. Assist other system and network engineers in monitoring the storage network capacity, performance and stability; maintaining configurations and security sets, along with day-to-day storage management. Interface with vendor technicians on preventive maintenance schedules and upgrades. Work with the backup administrator and system admin on efficient backup, restore, and archive methodologies, along with possible continuity of operations and disaster recovery
